The second round of the call for proposals to strengthen international cooperation and the professional development of artists and cultural professionals through individual trips to events abroad is now open. The call is open for events taking place from September 1, 2026, to December 13, 2026. Applications can be submitted online on the IDU website by August 19, 2026.

The National Institute for Culture (NIK) promotes and supports Czech art abroad and serves as a bridge between the Czech and international art communities.

To this end, it identifies significant events and opportunities that enable effective collaboration in the arts with international partners, as well as suitable domestic experts who, through their active participation in these events, represent the Czech arts scene, facilitate professional contacts, and provide NIK with expert insights that can be used for the institution’s future activities. The Go and See program serves to select these experts as NIK’s contractual partners for short-term international activities focused on establishing contacts, gaining professional experience, and subsequently sharing that experience with the Czech professional community.

The scope of services includes short-term trips abroad (up to 10 days) to professional events such as festivals, exhibitions, conferences, platforms, workshops, professional networking meetings, or other relevant cultural events abroad. The service primarily consists of professional participation in the event, facilitating relevant contacts, and preparing an expert report on the activity or trip abroad.
