The Physical Theatre Studio was established at the Theatre Faculty of JAMU in 2004 on the initiative of Prof. Ctibor Turba, one of the pioneers of Czech non-verbal and clown theatre. Since 2007 he has been the head of the Pierre Nadaud studio. The studio focuses on original and experimental theatre, on the development of the personality of the creator-performer, who uses the body, movement, voice and space as the main means of artistic expression.
The studio combines the disciplines of physical theatre, clown art, site-specific and street theatre as well as multimedia forms – sound, projection, film, animation and music.
