What you will learn
The study is based on the concept of drama acting and extends it with a singing and dancing component. From the basic acting skills – authentic expression, partnership, improvisation and perception of the dramatic situation – students progress to larger team projects and finally to graduate productions at the Orlí Theatre or the Musical and Dramatic Laboratory of the JAMU.
From the second year onwards, the teaching of acting is combined with intensive singing and dancing. These disciplines are systematically integrated into acting so that the resulting work is synthetic – i.e. capable of expressing a dramatic situation through words, singing and movement.

Dance lines – the basics of classical, modern and jazz dance, tap, musicality of movement, choreographic work.
These components gradually come together in a scenic synthesis. Students work first with teachers, later with directing and dramaturgy students, and from the third year onwards they also work with professional directors. In the fourth year they prepare comprehensive graduate productions for the public.
Acting line – exercises on authenticity of speech, improvisation, working with text, partnering, acting action and reaction.
Singing line – development of vocal range, intonation, breathing technique, expressive singing, working with musical phrases.
Goal of study
The aim is to raise an independent, complexly equipped creative personality who can fully combine acting, singing and dancing into a synthetic form. Graduates are prepared to work professionally on musical and drama stages and for long-term artistic growth.
