Bachelor’s Degree
The study provides theoretical and practical foundations in dance, theatre and pedagogy. You will gain an overview of the theory, history and current practice of dance and movement education, methods, procedures and forms of dance and its techniques.
You will learn the basics of dance and movement theatre theory, the history of Czech and international dance and theatre, pedagogy and psychology, including orientation in current curriculum documents.
The practical part of the study includes classical, modern and folk dance, improvisation, composition and creation of movement etudes. You will learn how to lead groups, plan lessons and work with a diverse range of students.
Graduate employment
Graduates will acquire pedagogical, theoretical and creative competences for working in the field of dance, movement and movement theatre. They can lead a dance and movement theatre company, teach in primary and secondary schools, conservatories, private studios, or work as lecturers in leisure activities.

Goal of study
The aim of the Bachelor’s programme is to educate teacher-creators who understand both the practical teaching of movement and dance and its artistic dimension. The study develops the ability for independent thinking, reflection and creative interpretation of movement forms. Graduates are prepared for practice and for graduate study.
